The Final Hurdle (until the next one, at least)

So, here we are. In the time since our last update, quite a bit has happened.

The biggest update is that the baby boy we had been called about was born a little over two weeks ago! We were told very limited information, but what we did learn was about what we expected. He'll likely remain in the hospital for the next week or so.

We are hoping to learn more about this baby today. This is finally the day that the county caseworker will come to our home to meet us and have a look around. We do know that there is at least one other family being considered for this baby to be placed with. Knowing that we're not the only ones has become a littler nerve wracking. On the flip side, we feel at peace with everything, especially with the interview tomorrow. I mean, we're both pretty charming, so what's there to worry about?

We don't have a firm time line for when we could find out if we're the receiving family or not. We're guessing they would like to pick a family before the baby leaves the hospital, but we're not sure that that will be the case. So, we wait. I'd like to think we've become pros at the waiting game (ok, maybe just me; Danielle is still pretty awful at it).

Any prayers, good vibes and/or high fives would be greatly appreciated over these next few days. Hopefully the next time we update, it's with some great news.
